The main objetives of CED are:

• To aid technical and scientifical research programmes in the detergents, surfactants and related products industry.
• To promote the unity between all persons specialising in this industrial field.
• To advertise the technical and scientifical potential of this detergents, surfactants and related products industry.
• To expand the professional knowledge of its members.
• To encourage the training of young professionals interested in the scientific field of this industry.
• To assess official or private entities wich request advise on the technical or scientifical area of this sector.
• To close up business relations with national or foreign entities which have activities that may be related to those of the CED.
•  

On the other hand, it is important to point out that CED is a non lucrative association.
